4th of July Extended Weekend

For the 4th of July we (as always) went to Connersville to stay with Chris' family. And after the 4th, Chris' mom and Claire came to spend the night with us! It was a lot of fun. Chris loves the 4th, and he always does a great job putting on a fireworks show for us. I only captured a few of the fountains; I wasn't quite quick enough on the draw to get shots of the big boomers! Since pictures speak far better than words, here we go!!!

Well, that's all for now. It's been a long, fun, and tiring weekend so I think I'm going to rest for about a week! Of course, now it's time to get organized for our vacation in a few weeks. We've decided on Myrtle Beach, mostly because Chris' best friend Adam lives there and asked Chris to play in a golf tournament with him. Should be fun!

The New Car!!!

Well, on Monday we bought the new car! We went to Ray Skillman in Greenwood, where it took seemingly forever, but by Monday evening we were on our way home with our brand new 2008 Kia Optima! Seriously, it's only got about 70 miles on it, and Chris and I put about 60 of those miles on it! It's black with gray interior, gets excellent gas mileage, has 4 doors, and I absolutely love it!
